This will sound rude, but is not intended to be. It is inteded to be frank. Please excuse me.

If discussions here are meant to be among people high above the development manager, then I have to ask the question: why do those people even care whether we use XP or don't use XP? If they don't want a programmer (or janitor) messing around with top-level management issues, then should not the top-level management types stay out of discussions about programming methodologies? What could they possibly bring to bear on the matter?

A serious question.
