Having run a few groups in my time, You need to have a "drummer" who keeps asking questions, you need a weekly IM meeting, even if just to talk about the kids and stuff... I'd be more than happy to help anyone create an XP environment. (I saw someone in Toronto willing to pay... you can get my info @ http://www.bigattichouse.com/ ) For discusssion I'll submit the following, feel free to let me know what you think of my idea and/or any additions or modifications you might want... I'm trying to create a test-first package along the lines of my current Qtest stuff for Delphi.. My idea is a text/html editor where you write a story, then you go back and highlight text to create the test-suites. So you can just cut and paste from your notes, and build the tests. The editor then will show the paragraph colored by test results... really easy to figure out how the development is going from a management point of view. The point is also to create a core set of tools that can then integrate into your IDE, that a manager can use without having to think in terms of nuts and bolts. Finally, to round the process off, I've been thinking of making something like "Articulate Programming", http://www.halfbakery.com/idea/articulate_20programming ... except, instead of "informative responses" for a user, the "errors" get sent back to the system and can be imported to automatically make tests. I'm not quite sure of a nice way to do this, but again.. this addition is just a thought. ------------------------ Yahoo!
