Weirdly enough, I *just* came across this paper while doing some unrelated work last Saturday, and was planning on passing the reference along to the group. Another academic resource that I thought might be of interest in discussing the evangelism of new IT methodologies in a corporate setting is Working Paper #104 from the London School of Economics (http://is.lse.ac.uk/research -- click "Working Papers" and use the form to filter it by number). The authors this enjoyably readable paper discuss what happened in an attempt to spread Component Based Design principles in a large firm and -- if I am reading it correctly -- there are a number of useful insights to be gleaned.for the XP community.
