Have you looked at Fit?
http://fit.c2.com/
At first I didn't see the genius of it, but Rob Mee recently gave me a
empassioned demo and the light went on. You can define your tests in a
normal HTML document, with the actual tests going in special tables:
http://fit.c2.com/wiki.cgi?CalculatorExample
Then if you scroll down and click on "run.cgi", you can make Fit run the
tests, producing a modified version of the document that is colored red
and green depending on whether the tests pass.
I haven't had a chance to use it seriously yet, but it seems ideal for
your situation.
