Hi, Everybody,

I was listening to Guy Kawasaki's audio book "Using Evangelism to Sell...." and heard
this quote.

Since we talked here and on the XP list about talking to CxO's it rang the proverbial
bell... here's what he said...

<quote>
When you evangelise something, never ever assume that the person with the title is the
person you should go after. A big mistake of people is that they often figure they have
to go after the president, the vice president, the director to get something done with an
organization and that's absolutely untrue. MacIntosh is successful because the salt of
the earth likes it: it was graphic designers, it was secretaries. it was students, it
was interns. It was not any stinking president of a fortune 1000 company....

You don't go over their heads because they'll resent you going over their heads, and
probably they're not the right people to make a decision anyway.
</quote>

The audio book is $2.95 or so at Audible.com and it's worth listening to...

Kay
