Hi Dale, knew you would jump in here ;) and I agree, that magers and leaders need to do work as thier title states, but the focus of this work should be on enablement and removal of obstacles. If the team includes a manager, it seems to me that the manager will necessarily be managing, controlling, and making decisions. Good managers will focus a great deal of their managing, controlling, and deciding activities on enabling the team to manage, control, and decide for themselves.
