RE: Leadership and Management - is NOT about decision making or control, is it?

I agree with Mike(Michael?) but would add that a manager should not only be able to make decisions, but *willing* to make decisions.  The target of these decisions is to be able to approach the final goal of not needing to make any.....yet be prepared to defend every decision made.  I've been there a couple times, and it is definitely the sweet spot.
