Call for Papers: Workshop on Exploring Programmer Tests XP/Agile Universe 2003 http://www.XProgramming.com/xpuPTsWorkshop2003/ J. B. Rainsberger, Diaspar Software Services Ron Jeffries, www.XProgramming.com Rick Mugridge, University of Auckland Enthusiasts and practitioners of test-oriented programming are invited to participate in this workshop to explore issues related to Programmer tests. Participants will share their experiences and learn through multiple group discussions on the topics that interest them most. We aim to advance the art of writing programmer tests through this process. We will focus on Programmer Tests as defined in Test-Driven Development and the XP literature. Such tests are written by programmers to drive the development of software, demonstrate step-by-step progress towards the completion of a task and provide a safety net for refactoring. We will explore specific strategies and techniques that participants can apply in their work, in addition to considering the "big picture" of testing. Submissions due: 10 July 2003 For further details see: http://www.XProgramming.com/xpuPTsWorkshop2003/ Please contact [email protected] if you have any questions. J. B.
