Yes, with the caveat that optimizing for fear of pair programming is not
ideal. I would hope that we would keep the value of courage in mind and
consider that pairing is the best tested solution. Not that there can’t be
others.

 Except I would define pairing as having a conversation while we are
programming. Most solutions that don’t involve pairing involve having
conversations when you are not programming, and that is not the ideal time
to get information about programming.
