The notion of dependent events, statistical fluctuations, and the value in reordering the events to increase throughput _seems_ to be a concept in queuing theory, so the way I present it is apparently not _wrong_, but I could probably improve the presentation. That entire article is due to be rewritten for conciseness, so I will consider when to do that, and when I do, I'll make sure to refer explicitly to the Herbie story in _The Goal_.
