I buy this. We here generally have more of a bias towards action, but some
people prefer to sit and think. I'm not one of those people, so I can
easily come off as pushy, wanting to think in code by writing code.

If people are talking about design, then good things are probably
happening. I do this with teams. We play "What's not to like about this
code" as a way to talk through code without the glacial speed (at times) of
writing it.
