When introducing or fixing standups, I do a Fist of Five at the end: 
everyone holds up a number of fingers at the same time showing how 
useful the standup was for *them personally*.

If you get half 5s and half, well, fists: you may have two meetings 
masquerading as one.

One benefit of doing this regularly is that people go *into* the standup 
thinking about how they'll vote at the end, and thus more aware of the 
value they are or aren't getting out of it.
