I also thought so at first, but the arcticle seem to place a fair
amount of emphasis on the distributed computing side of it.

Whilst Client/Service is a good design for distributed computing, I
don't see that distributed computing is in anyway a requirement for
doing client/service design.

But yes, there is a strong overlap between what I'm talking about and SOA.
