The problem with only having a hammer in your toolbox is that every task appears to require the use of it. Now, if you possess additional tools you have the option to chose between them before selecting the one that is most appropriate. The biggest change for me in my mindset came when I AWK and SED after being a Pascal/FORTRAN/C programmer. These tools, made some complex tasks trivial. >> Also, I could not agree more on XML. Java and XML are not the best of buddies from where I sit but, then again, I'm not really sure if XML is the best buddy of anyone. It is often awkward to work with. I do not fear Java but I also do not see it as the best we can come up with. It is a good tool with an excellent platform and some really nice dev environments. That doesn't make it the best tool for all situations, does it? Regards, Gordon J Milne
