You should know JavaScript pretty well already and maybe dive into
Html5 this year. I think that JS is today's Lisp and I have made use
of all of its advanced features, like self modifying code, closures
and dynamically constructed Html. Html can be so dynamic that you need
to take into account when your code will really exist before using it.
I think this is pretty much a lot of fun. Look at the kind of Kayak
clone I shaped at welekeo.it in 10 thousand lines of code built on
jQuery. My successive project has been a Microsoft WPF project. Kind
of similar in a sense: with XAML in the place of HTML and C# in lieu
of JavaScript. It has been a nightmare and has taken ages to finish.
I think that Html5 and JavaScript should be on your list. Frameworks
like node.js are interesting, but the odds for it being relevant in a
real payed project are loooow.
