Well our server admin is currently using Microsoft's NLB and according to him, he's told it to LB all traffic. He came to me asking if we could do the load balancing on the alteon. Shouldn't be a problem but then he told me he wanted all ports load balanced. Guess I need to get wireshark out and see exactly what traffic is coming in to these servers. It's a proprietary app so I couldn't begin to tell you what ports are in use.

Thanks.

Hi Leo,

Is there a specific reason you're looking to do this? Typically, load balancing all ports on a VIP is a Bad Idea (TM). There may be situations where it's warranted, but if you have a specific requirement there may be a better way.

Is there any way to define all ports to be load balanced when setting up a virtual server?
