Excellent, I love weird stuff like that when it is found and corrected. It's the ultimate high for a skilled trouble-shooter. I also love the comment "It had nothing to do with the loadbalancer at all". Those of us who have been around here a while are familiar with that sentiment. Regardless of the vendor, we have always been that mysterious machine in the middle that must be the problem if something goes wrong; and, regardless of the vendor, 90% of the time it has nothing to do with the loadbalancer. I'm glad you solved your problem and I'm happy that the load balancer has been vindicated. ;-) KJ (Ken) Salchow, Jr. | Manager, Technical Marketing -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Miloska Sent: Wednesday, February 04, 2009 6:38 AM To: Load Balancing Mailing List Subject: Re: [load balancing] connection test Thanks to everyone! Finally I decided to use postfix's smtp-source utility to test my loadbalancer. I find that one of my server is slower than the rest, than after few checks I find that the BBU is gone in the raid controller, so the write cache is disabled, that's the reason of the slow down. It had nothing to do with the loadbalancer at all. Thanks once again, I'll take a look at these tools anyway. _______________________________________________ lb-l mailing list [email protected] http://vegan.net/mailman/listinfo/lb-l Searchable Archive: http://vegan.net/lb/archive http://lbdigest.com Load Balancing Digest http://lbwiki.com Load Balancing Wiki _______________________________________________ lb-l mailing list [email protected] http://vegan.net/mailman/listinfo/lb-l Searchable Archive: http://vegan.net/lb/archive http://lbdigest.com Load Balancing Digest http://lbwiki.com Load Balancing Wiki
