Hello Siva, There are trap receivers and handlers as well as other NMS applications that can deal with SNMP traps. There's typically not a "script" unless you want to develop your own trap handler. Something like Nagios can deal with SNMP traps: http://www.nagios.org/faqs/viewfaq.php?faq_id=29 Typically that's used to generate alerts on server up/down events, link status, that kind of thing. Also, you can use something like MRTG/RRDTool to poll various metrics on the Alteon, such as CPU, connection rate, and interface bandwidth.
