Greg, NAS enables user to set real server time out, virtual service time out and persistent session timeout(comes in 25.0). The age of the session is set to real server time out if virtual service time out is not configured. If there is no packet flow in the connection, the session will age out for that configured time. Its like ideal session time out. persistent time out is for persistent sessions and comes with 25.0 Note - It is as per knowledge on NAS but not on Alteon 180e -Ravi.
