Yep, as I said it's being "entered into the KB" because it has to be blessed by engineering before it's officially posted, but I figured if it's something you needed done right now, then you can call support and get it now :) Usually most of this sort of stuff ends up in PRD's and there's a good chance it'll make it into the next rev of the code. I'm guessing it wasn't identified as a "need" by a customer until recently.

Hello Tal.

Currently in the KB it mentions only basic HTTP auth. (CTX116996 and CTX117142 )

If NTLM authentication is on the radar it's great (my request is not urgent) but I wonder why it would not be possible to be able to put this kind of parameters into an HTTP-ECV or HTTP probe (natively and not via a perl script running in user space of the memory).

Just FYI - We have a magical perl script that can do this for you on the NetScalers. It's currently being entered into the support knowledge base, but if you need it now just contact support and mention this thread. I've given them a heads up you'd be calling.

Hello the ML.

I have to configure a cluster of NetScalers (but the question is open to other vendors also ;-) ) to load balance HTTP-based Sharepoint web servers, and it uses an NTLM challenged-based user authentication.

I can solve the problem with basic http auth. by sending an additionnal header with the login:password pair encoded in base-64, but what about using the challenge in NTLM mechanism ?

Does anyone know if any load balancer on the market is able to send HTTP probe when using NTLM auth on the back end servers ?

Otherwise I'll have to ask dev. to create a specific page available without any authentication.
