ZXTM - TCP monitor

We use ZXTM to round robin requests to the backend servers. Currently ZXTM provides TCP based monitors that connect to a port and checks if the service is alive. Since it completes the 3 way handshake, the xinetd service launches the process when the connect happens. Is there a way in ZXTM to send a SYN and when SYN-ACK is received, send a RST? I believe F5 supports tcp half open monitors that provide the same functionality.
