The beauty of "promiscuous" :) pair programming is the "union" of collective
knowledge sets. Most developers aren't inclined to share. But, when it
happens, it can be great. That's *real* team-building, not the HR-hosted IS
mini-putt game. :) :)

OTOH, the ugliness of pair programming is that ten people who don't know the
answer to a specific problem individually, also don't know it collectively.
