We expect this to open up to more people soon, but there are a few items on our 
task list that are ahead of a call for volunteers. Like finding hosting space, which is 
taking longer then we expected. 
 
 The main reason we postponed the license vote is that we are trying to get some 
clarification on licensing issues from some of the organizations that developed 
these licenses. Our main goal is to make Pragmatic as free as and as open 
source as possible. We want to encourage both OS and commercial work. Finding 
a license that allows this in a realistic way is difficult. In a few cases the licenses 
that cover both cases well are incompatable with the GPL. For a language this is a 
bad thing becuase then those developers that wish to create GPLed works in 
Pragmatic would not be able to use any of the Pragmatic libs. Obviously we want 
to encourage use is as many areas and under as many licenses as possible. 
 
 I never realized how complex this whole licensing issue was until I started being 
involved in the debate.  
 
 In any case, we will get it worked out as quickly as we can.
