Feathers' book is a great resource. Unfortunately, it doesn't quite
stand on its own as far as unit testing goes. On the other hand, "not
knowing how" is often an issue of confidence as much as anything, and
Feathers is excellent in this regard as it makes almost any legacy
code look surmountable. Other ones to look at include /xUnit Test
Patterns/ by Gerard Meszaros and, of course, the perennial
/Refactoring/ by Martin Fowler.
