Based on a demo, I can say that the "micro-refactorings" as Klocwork calls them, are just 4: rename variable or function, extract function, introduce local variable, and inline function. They also have "architectural refactorings" which, if I saw the demo correctly, do not take place in the IDE. "Inline function" behaves as you would desire: all calls to the function are replaced by the function body. The plugin relies on their static analysis tools (analysis updated everytime you save a file) and is probably not available separate from their tool-suite. I'm currently waiting for the trial software to arrive (Windows or Linux only, no Mac support), once I have time to exercise it, I'll publish a more detailed review on Industrial Blogic <http://bit.ly/5LiI62> On Wed, Jun 16, 2010 at 2:19 PM, Joshua Kerievsky < [email protected]> wrote: > > > On Wed, Jun 16, 2010 at 2:13 PM, Richard <[email protected]<legalize%40xmission.com>> > wrote: > > > I hadn't heard of it until you posted.
