It depends. In some countries, English is taught at school for almost
everyone. So you won't have that much trouble with programmers from such
countries. If your fellow programmers do not speak english, you may have
a problem. But that problem probably runs both ways if the native
english people do not understand them either.
If you need, you could add translation comments in the code.
