Hi Swati,
   Please look at the sonar project - It may be relevant to what you are
looking for - As an aside, I highly recommend doing any such analysis with
some open source code - that would give you some real world experience -
   I agree with John's observation about simpler code - many times while
refactoring - I remember spotting an n-square list algorithm in a C++ code
- this was hidden - not apparent - and came to light while refactoring the
legacy code -
   The code never got executed earlier - but then it got pulled in the flow
- and the customer feedback was something that became 6 minute to 40 hours
;-). We were able to fix it fast - as we already knew of the stenches ;-)
