Show us what (fictitious) recorded transactions in your XPT and SCC
example would look like.  Use actual dates, numbers, descriptions, etc.

Then, show us reports off those recorded transactions (such as a ledger,
etc.) and show us specific details of what it tells us.  Then, try to
convince us that we want to know what it tells us, and that we couldn't
know exactly the same thing, to the same degree of accuracy, using
another method that is less cumbersome than full-out bookkeeping the way
you just showed us.
