I'm with you on this too. (I'd been just about to unsubscribe when 
the above message came.)

I feel a little guilty in the sense that one of my first articles on 
XP was to explore Beck's reply "can you?" when asked about TDD of 
GUIs. But I just can't recommend it for normal practice, for the 
reasons Jeff has outlined.
