You're correct - but those functional requirements just "feel" less 
contraining to me.  They don't seem to tell me exactly what objects I 
need where they way visual requirements do.  

So restating - I don't really have a problem coding to spec, and I 
really buy that supporting the software with automated testing is 
critical - its just that doing it test FIRST  - or using the unit 
test as a /design/ activity seems to have less meaning [to me].     

I suspect I need to do more GUI testing to form some better founded 
opinions.
