It is UIP (User Interface Process), not UIB.  I'm afraid I'm at fault
for starting a bad meme.

As I recall, it is just classic MVC, with a lot of accessories.  The
biggest of which is that navigation for the entire application is
stored in XML.  And state can be stored such that the user can
start/stop and resume at any point.
