I would go that way. Here's what I usually do:

SomeHierarchicalModel model = SomeHierarchicalModel.GetSomeData();
SomeHierarchicalTree tree = new SomeHierarchicalTree(yourTreeViewControl);
tree.Display(model);

You, of course, have to fill inn the rest...
