Bookstores either put them where the publisher says, put
them where the chain's head office says, or put them where
the title says. Catchy titles and authors writing out of their
recognized niche tend to have their books misshelved.

And the people at the publisher or chain are frequently
the same kind of drone that staffs Human Resource
departments.
