Hi Bill,

One windows and Linux the error is the same…
> python --version
Python 2.7.10
> pip --version
pip 8.1.2 from C:\Python27\lib\site-packages (python 2.7)
>pip install scons

I added in bold what the main error seems to be. I see this for Linux and Windows ( have not tried Mac)

Jason,

As far as I know, if you have an updated version of pip it works.
If you're seeing otherwise with current version of SCons, please post what
errors you're seeing.
