OK, I guess I missed that.

Might it then be worth taking all the builders and tools I extracted
from wikis and websites into separate repositories into contrib and
then amend the tools index to reflect that?

I wonder if there should be a test part of it anyway as a fillip to
people adding tests to the tools so as to improve the quality and
confidence in them?
