epydoc on mac to produce PDF

Greetings,

We use epydoc to produce the API docs for SCons.

When I run bootstrap.py on my mac (MacOS Sierra), I get the following error
in red below.
I'm not a latex expert by any means. I'm wondering if anyone in our
community has run into this issue and has a solution?
