Scons TryRun method fails during cross compilation

Hi,

I am having issue to compile my gpsd library. My code fails when it checks
for the sizeof_time_t in the sconstruct.  Basically it's a simple program
inside sconstruct which create a small .c program.

From my observation I found out that the code fails in the TryRun.  It
supposed to return the value but then now it returns an empty string.
