Upgrading from PackageManager installed PyDS to 0.7.1/CVS

Hi,

I'm just getting back into blogging and am still using Bob Ippolito's
packaged version of PyDS 0.6.3 <http://undefined.org/python/pimp/>.
I'd like to update to a current version from which I can do some
development.

I understand the packaged 0.6.3 includes several changes to file
locations and so forth which diverge from the 'standard' PyDS install,
and I also recall some issues with template formats changing from this
mailing list a while ago.

So, how should I approach upgrading?
