Thanks Jeremy and Georg.
Do you think I would have more or less trouble if I upgraded to PyDS CVS at this point?
I copied the DownstreamTool.py from the web archive (which didn't appear mangled) since I wasn't subscribed yet.
(Was that against CVS?)
I needed to change the last two lines that read (in the Jeremy version):
------------
downstream = DownstreamTool('downstream', _('Downstreaming'), __desc__, 915)
PyDS.Tool.registerTool(downstream)
----------
Back to the 0.7.1 version:
------------
PyDS.Tool.registerTool(DownstreamTool, 'downstream', _('Downstreaming'), __desc__, 915)
-----------
I downgraded metakit to metakit-2.4.9.2-r1 just to cut down on the number of "odd" variables (since I noticed in the archives there may be some problems). I created a new user account and started a fresh weblog.
Adding the feed from Georg's PyDS gave me this error:
Exception "exceptions.AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'lower'"
/usr/lib/python2.3/site-packages/PyDS/AggregatorTool.py[1176] in show_html
/usr/lib/python2.3/site-packages/PyDS/DownstreamTool.py[547] in download

/usr/lib/python2.3/site-packages/PyDS/DownstreamTool.py[80] in open_http
/usr/lib/python2.3/urllib.py[269] in open_http
Which is pretty much the same thing as before.
