I think it would be ok if you just add an option where the user can overwrite the name for her RSS feed files, default it to rss.xml and everything should work like it is now. If someone needs to change the name, the option is available. Redirect support could go into the upstreaming drivers - if it's FTP or LFS, you could optionally generate a .htaccess file with the right Apache directives. Keep in mind that redirections can only be done on non-community servers - PyCS can redirect, but there is no user controlled way to do it. > though I'll also need to touch the others. FeedBurner can do the pings > for us, for example. Actually I think switching from our several pings to just one ping to rpc.pingomatic.com would do much better :-) We still would need to ping other things, though - for example the local community server won't be pinged by pingomatic. But all the predefined pings like weblogs, technorati, blogs would be pinged by it. bye, Georg - -- gpg Key unter http://hugo.muensterland.org/gems/gbauer.asc -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.3 (Darwin) iD8DBQFB63T+F23K68kpzdoRAi2DAJ9ue7in8s9g9YC/wOf9HABEhwemcACeOK01 gdJdeFP3BFmZA/7uojHwFiM= =URwz -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
