When we have things in place more solidly, we have to clarify > exactly what must be put in each back-end etc. What I'm referring to is (mostly) that the PicoGUI Python client library (written by yours truly) already does some __setattr__ magic property setting, probably uncounsciously inspired by Anygui. So it would be a huge waste of code (leading to more things to debug) and processor time (I think) to implement getters and setters for all them - I just hooked in push() and AFAICS it works. I believe in the future I'll rewrite it to use lower-level calls that allow widgets to be unparented, so that the widgets are actually instantiated in widgetFactory and then attached in addToParent... dunno.
