Code review is what I need most, as I'm pretty confident in my knowledge of
PicoGUI (having written the Python bindings myself) but not so much
confident with Anygui internals.

OTOH, if you want to see it working, PicoGUI is pretty easy to install in
any kind of Unix machine, and it can run under X, SDL or framebuffer. But as
there never was a release (yet), you have to get it from CVS and compile
pgserver yourself. (You don't need cli_c or apps if all you want to do is
test python stuff - just put the PicoGUI directory that's under cli_python
in your python path. Yes, I really should write a setup.py someday.)
