Testing

I've done a test on javagui and tkgui now, recorded in
nondist/admin/status.txt -- some failures, but I don't have the time
to fix them right now.

It would be great if those of you who are responsible for the other
back-ends (or simply have the proper GUI toolkits installed) could
test them as soon as possible, so we know where we stand. (Of course,
any bugs fixed would be great too ;)
