wxPython bug?

I just ran the test suite on wxgui and that went reasonably well, but
then I tried wxgui, and it seems that there is something wrong with it
(or, at least, my installation). I just installed the most recent
version from the wxPython site, but I get the following traceback:

>>> from wxPython.wx import *
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "<stdin>", line 1, in ?
  File "C:\PYTHON22\Lib\site-packages\wxPython\wx.py", line 6, in ?
    from misc2 import *
  File "C:\PYTHON22\Lib\site-packages\wxPython\misc2.py", line 18, in ?
    from utils import *
  File "C:\PYTHON22\Lib\site-packages\wxPython\utils.py", line 959, in ?
    wxCONFIG_USE_NO_ESCAPE_CHARACTERS = utilsc.wxCONFIG_USE_NO_ESCAPE_CHARACTERS

AttributeError: 'module' object has no attribute
'wxCONFIG_USE_NO_ESCAPE_CHARACTERS'
>>>

I'm sure I'm just doing something stupid, but AFAICR, I've been able
to install wxPython without any trouble previously...

Any ideas?
