That may well be, but I feel I should warn you that it has not reached anything near "production quality" yet. > May I suggest that you replace the 0.1.1 package (dated Feb. 7th, > 2002) you've uploaded into Sourceforge with the one you offer in > your anygui.sourceforge.net/download.php page of nightly snapshots > from the cvs? Actually, the version in CVS is a pre-alpha of 0.2, and it isn't finished yet (not properly tested/bugfixed, and not really fully implemented either). > Both have the same version number (as specified in file > 'VERSION.TXT'), That is simply because we haven't released the one in CVS yet. When we do, the version number in the package will change. Note that it is not clear exactly when this will happen. We have tried to finish the 0.2a0 before christmas, but it seems highly unlikely that any great progress will be made for quite some time now, since most developers (including myself) are very busy with other projects. (I am finishing my Ph.D myself :) I am confident that we eventually will release version 0.2, though, even if it takes some time. > but the older package cannot even be imported into > my Python environment. By the way, I'm using Python 2.2.1 on Red Hat Linux 8.0 Well, that ought to work... > Thanks a lot! > Andres -- Magnus Lie Hetland Practical Python The Anygui Project http://hetland.org http://ppython.com http://anygui.org ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by: With Great Power, Comes Great Responsibility Learn to use your power at OSDN's High Performance Computing Channel http://hpc.devchannel.org/
