I have not abandoned it, but until May I will have to prioritize my
Ph.D thesis and various publications. It seems that getting the
project out of the current lull may take quite an effort, and until
then (May, that is) I don't think I'll be able to spend the time
needed for that.

On the other hand -- it may be that we can get the first alpha out all
the same; I think it's mostly a matter of testing (and, I suppose, a
bit of bugfixing)... There are lots of pluses in
nondist/admin/status.txt after all :)

One possible strategy could be to severely limit the number of
back-ends used in 0.2a1. For example, we might have a functioning
tkgui as the target for 0.2a1, and take any other functioning
back-ends as a bonus. (Both tkgui and wxgui seem relatively close to
an acceptable state.) I may well have some time to update the
documentation a bit. A release might be good "policy", to indicate
that the project isn't dead. ("No, no, it's resting!" ;)

I'd be happy to set up a schedule etc., but that would require some
interest from the developers -- the last time I tried, not much was
actually done, IIRC... ;)
