In general IMO it is never a good idea to distribute a piece of user visible functionality that a project does not mantain, because one will get complains and questions that then should be redirected ... We have already this problem with parts of PyXML in Jython, there the added value make it meaningful and CPython also does this redistribution, still it is painful. I think Anygui can choose to try to have just working backends for a small subsets of toolkits (tk + swing + wx ...?), but shipping none or just one is problematic ... there is also the issue that developing just one backend makes impossible to know whether the design choices extend nicely to the other potential target toolkits or not. ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf
