Oops -- I guess I got some postings crossed here -- read Terry's mail
about drawbot *before* I saw his stated need for graphics here.

I actually mentioned drawbot myself earlier (I think?) -- hence the
confusion.

So: Terry, if you need graphics, you should definitely feel free to
work on getting it into the codebase. That's the way things get done;
by people who need them :)

It would be nice if you considered the pros and cons of the current
sping-based API and the DrawBot API (which, I believe, does not
support text?) and posted something about it here, maybe?
