Maybe not such a bad selection? tk, qt and wx work on most platforms, anyway, so one of our main contributions would (as mentioned) be to present a very simple API, as well as covering java (which is *not* covered by the others). It's a pity, as mswgui seems to be working rather well, but I guess we need to be realistic if there is to be any hope of not just stranding again.
