cvs refuses connection, snapshot is empty archive

I've tried accessing cvs, and I've tried downloading the nightly snapshot.
anonymous cvs refused access, and when I downloaded the snapshot, it proved to
be an empty archive. Are there any other up to date archives I can get anygui by?
